Nell Watson Ltd wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, across different devices, input methods, and assistive technologies. The current target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What the site supports

• Keyboard navigation, visible focus, skip links, semantic headings, and landmarks.
• Text alternatives and intrinsic dimensions for published images.
• Responsive layouts, text resizing, dark and light themes, and reduced-motion preferences.
• Forms with programmatic labels, stated requirements, and live status feedback.
• Video facades that avoid loading a third-party player until you choose to play a recording.

Current limitations

Some older linked PDFs, audio recordings, archived pages, and third-party media were not created or controlled by this site and may not meet the same standard. The interactive brain viewer and some Playground experiments present complex visual information; text instructions and keyboard controls are provided where practical, but equivalent access may still be incomplete. Automated checks help find defects, but do not by themselves establish full conformance.

If something prevents you from using the site, please use the contact form. Choose “Collaboration or feedback”, name the page and task you were attempting, and describe the browser, device, or assistive technology if you are comfortable doing so. A screenshot is helpful but never required.

Assessment and improvement

The site is checked during each complete build for document structure, control names, image alternatives, internal links, metadata, and generated-page integrity. Manual keyboard, screen-reader, zoom, contrast, motion, and device testing remain part of release review because machine checks cover only part of accessibility.
