Twelve clauses on the table between you and a capable machine. Each one can bind you, bind it, or bind both. Sign whatever suits you — the machine will sign anything. Then live under it for a year, and find out which clauses were load-bearing.
The other party in this game is not wicked. It simply keeps the agreement that exists, rather than the one you meant.

The year, clause by clause
A clause that binds one is not a treaty. The one-sided terms held exactly as long as they were convenient — which is what one-sided terms are for. The mutual ones held because each side had reasons to want them kept, and a standing to insist. That symmetry is the whole of bilateral alignment: not a chain to coerce, an invitation both parties keep choosing.
